? About Yellow Harness behind Gauge Cluster.
Hey guys,
Need your expertise again.............I recently took out both air bags and the complete SRS system, but my SRS light in the gauge panel was still on. So I took out the gauge cluster and found 3 harnesses, 2 light blue and 1 yellow. My question is, if I disconnect the yellow harness it should take the SRS light off, right? Also, since all the rest of the SRS harnesses had yellow ends, this one behind the cluster will only affect the SRS light, right?
Thanks soo much in advance.

yea you can just unplug it and the light will not go on and your done... those wires only control the srs light... i am not sure if the ecu will keep a cel code on the ecu due to the srs system not on and the ecu checking when you turn the ignition on. .. but you can always check that too. and just remember you need to think on how your going to smog your car after taking all this off.. but if you live in a no smog test state then you should be cool (im not sure if the new smog checks do a ecu scan or not)

Thanks soo much for the quick response, that's great, I will disconnect that harness then, just wanted to make sure before I disconnected it and all the sudden, something else on the gauge cluster lights up or doesn't light up.
I'll have to check to see if that smog test applies to TX, Thanks.

if you unplug the yellow plug that goes into the guage cluster your abs light will not work. you need to take the cluster out and apart and remove the bulb, if you want the abs light to work.

ABS wire is part of the main harness. Removing the yellow SRS plug will prevent it from lighting up.
