ZC Install. Do I leave the old waterpump in to plug that big hole in the tranny casing?

Default ZC Install. Do I leave the old waterpump in to plug that big hole in the tranny casing?

OR, do i remove 1/2 of it or leave it all off?
Need a response on this quick please, car must be running in 24 hours.

What big hole in the tranny casing? The waterpump is on the opposite side of the motor. I don't understand your situation.

The old waterpump was electric right? the one I detached from the tranny? I was told that was the water pump? If not then what was it and i should probbily put it back on shouldnt I!

Uh no, that would be your starter. Your water pump is driven by your timing belt on the other side of your motor. Yes you need it attached.

heh, I couldnt figure out where the water pump was (used to pully driven domestics) so I asked the company i bought the motor from and they said that was it on the tranny! lol. thanks alot....now I hope i can get it back togather....

You want to put a new water pump on, along with a new timing belt. You don't know how many miles or years are on them. If the snap or seize you can effectively kiss your new motor Bye-bye. I would replace the Tensioner too, its the same as the D15 and the D16. Take the old one to the HONDA dealer, they will match it. The Timing Belt is a prelude item, the water Pump is a CIVIC or CRX item. The rest of the mess is basicly Accura Integra stuff. Links to Part numbers are easy to find. Look under the Hybrid Forum, a kind fellow there has posted a bunck of links to ZC sites.
