CRX Vertical Door Kit, Lambo Doors, VDC, Whatever you wanna call em
I've seen alot of companies making these bolt on vertical door kits lately. I see some go for over 2 grand and all the way down to like 5 and 6 hundread bucks on eBay. Are the one's on eBay garbage? Who makes the good ones? Are the all the same? I would think that a VDC for over $2000 would be better than one for $600 bucks but they have the same lifetime warranty! Any input, greatly 'preciated!

The only piece of advice I give you is this: you get what you pay for.
That being said...lambo doors are awful

thats all opinion i think lambo doors r nice. answer his question and dont knock his style. A good lambo door setup ranges from 900-1300 bucks, btw never buy off ebay if its more than 100 bucks.
If you're going to purchase a product like that, you really should look for the best quality w/the least chance of breakage. I wouldn't look to ebay for something like that, personally.

The ones I'm looking at on eBay do come with a lifetime warranty and the kit is $600 shipped. No place that sells VDC kits are gonna be able to top that kind of warranty. There are others on there who have no warranty or like a 30 day bullshit warranty. Lifetime warranty is as good as it gets.
I've installed both a Decah $1300 kit, and several of the Ebay kits, and honestly. They are identical when you put them side by side. The only kit I've had to work on that was any difference was a weld on kit that had 2 shocks and weighed about 3 times as much. It was a Diablo kit and was also $1300 (put it on a Caprice).
All the bolt on kits IMO will begin to sag eventually, you will have to deal with readjustment to often. If you want a kit for a Honda cheap, I have one in the backseat of my truck that I removed from a 92 Integra, same kit for all Hondas. Asking $350 for it, used for 2 months

Actually, on episode 213 of Pimp my Ride they installed GC's and a lambo kit that looked and performed like it was really well made. I forget what the brand name was but it's definitely in that episode.
They sag because the adjustment point, which is the point that takes all the abuse, just isn't made to take it. Its one small joint with an allen screw in it that you turn to lower and raise the dooe slightly to make the OE latch connect. Everytime you shut the door and it drops all the way down, it is shutting on that same point, which overtime knocks it out of adjustment.
The doors look nice but they are a pain in the ***. I really don't see what "breaking" as far as defects (which is what would be warrantied), They just wear out.

I'm sure this probably varies with car door usage but what's the fastest you've seen one just sag? And is the sagging from just having them or does it seem to come having the doors vertical as opposed to horizontal?
I'll pass on buying that jit from you though. Since I can get a pair for 5 or 600 bucks all brand new with a lifetime warranty, I might as well take it. I'm sure you'd do the same.

Besides if I get a weld-on VDC, then it's on their for life. If I don't want it anymore or am just plain tired of it, I can't even attempt to sell it. Well, not unless the cars' going with it anyway.

Sagging comes from usage. Not from being up, but when its at its lowest point down, before closing. Every kit will do it thats bolt on. Weld ons don't do it because they don't have the same flimsy hinge there.
Fastest I've seen one begin to sag, 2 weeks.

IYO, which do you think it's better? See I'm thinking that with a bolt on I can tighten it if it begins to slip and sell it if I don't want it anymore. But with a weld it know it can't sag but I can never get rid of it. Are weld-on VDC cheaper or not really?
