help with instrument lights....

Default help with instrument lights....

hey guys.... i have a 00 civic HB Dx and my cluster lights and A/c control lights went out...the cluster still works just no lights...i changed the Instrument lights fuse and when i turn on the lights to see if its working the fuse blows....am i changing the right fuse? if so why does the fuse keep blowing?? TIA

check your wiring from the dimmer switch to the fuse panel for any breakage

Somewhere in that wiring there is a cut and it is ground itself or touching some other wires. In lamins (sp) terms, your wires are shorting out. Like 13SEC CIV said, check the wires from the fues box to the dimmer switch for any breakage or cuts in the insulation and tape them up.

THe bulbs are fine, its the wiring.

i checked the wiring but it goes into that black plastic thing...should i cut it?? or am i not following the right wires...if u guys have pics that would be very helpful.....sorry wiring is not my thing....

if you are talking about the wire loom, yes open it up and check for any open wires
