Default question about smog.

Sup. I have a 91 integra b18a Well unfortunately I bent the valves on cylinder 3 and 4. Since I'm going to be pulling the head out I just wanted to know a couple of things. One, Can I pass smog if I rebuilt the head with aftermarket stuff like cams, springs, retainers? Or does it depend with what product I go with? This is just for my daily driver. Or do you suggest just swapping a complete head and call it a day?

Springs and retainers won't make a difference, as far as smog goes. They'll never know if you swap cams, since they don't remove the valve cover and check, as long as you can get it to run clean enough with them. Also, I believe the Skunk2 stage 1 cams are cali legal.

There are ways to dynotune a car to pass emissions mandates regardless of the engines modifications.
