Two months, thats how long it took me to total my new bike. I was riding on a 180 degree on ramp doing about 60 today when the rear broke loose, I regained control but couldn't save it. I ended up flying over the handle bars and some how lowsided the bike.
Thank god there was no traffic coming as my bike slid about 20-30 feet into the middle lane in the highway. I managed to land on the shoulder just before the lane merged(Free of traffic, it's hard to describe
). Just a little road rash on my back, and my hip is pretty fucked up. But I can walk on it.
I'll post pics tommorow, the bike ended up being towed because my license had expired. I also got another ticket for careless driving.
Overall, I feel pretty ******* lucky to be alive right now. It makes me seriously question ever riding on the street again. The track has been calling me lately anyway.

I wouldn't be surpised if the rear broke loose initially because of dirt/gravel. The roads here are so shitty.

It was this morning at around 10 AM. I caught a huge break with the lack of traffic.
Thanks guys, the more and more I think about it, the more I feel like things happen for a reason.

Glad to hear you're ok. Definitely on a freeway. One of my co-workers told me, that's how his brother died on the freeway and got ran over.
When he told the story he started to break down and tell me to just ride safe. To a speedy recovery man.

I'm a transplanted sox fan
And yes they helped a lot. I had been wearing them everyday, along with my leather jacket, gloves, and of course a helmet. Wear gear people.

Seriously sorry to hear about the misfortune. But it sounds like you're making the best of it. Pull off the plastics and track that son of a bitch!</TD></TR></TABLE>
We'll see, I didn't take a real good look at the bike. But one of the paramedics mentioned that the rear brake was broken(I assume he meant the caliper/rotor
)
It's definitley gonna be branded with a salvage title.

Wow man, that sucks. I wouldn't let it keep you from riding on the street though. You can get in a car accident to you know. If you ride on the street, just take it easy and you will be ok.

Technically, you could probably do three for each side. Frame, swingarm, and then the less effective ones that don't mount on the frame.
