well...right now you have (or should have) an LS tranny with a grinding 3rd gear, maybe just get a new one or a b16 tranny. either one, good luck with your search

Do yourself a favor and check your fluid level first, actually, swap some fresh Honda MTF in and you might be pleasantly surprised at the results.

*edited* I was thinking fluid into clutch not into tranny... lol */edit*

As for a tranny, if the long gears don't bother you or if you drive a lot of highway, look into another LS tranny. If you want faster acceleration look at the gs-r or even b16 tranny. Just remember to choose another cable one otherwise you will need the special mounts that I think Hasport makes for around $350, but I'm not sure. I have a cable b16 on my b20 and it's great

As long as it is cable it should mount fine, and I don't think you would need a different ECU, it's just different gearing.

if you can find a b17a tranny from the 92-93 gs-r. that will be the best... best gear ratios out there. next to ITR

if you wanna rebuild what you have, all you have to do is change out 3rd gear syn.

I'm putting a B16 in my 90 DA-nteg, but GSR is the better 2 me or an ITR tranny
