Default 93 civic problems.

was the 93 dx/lx civic engine prone to overheating/blowing headgaskets?

i know of 3 that had this problem.

I have had dx for 3 yrs never had this prob but it came out of canada so not sure on the u.s model though

yeah, my brothers headgasket went in his 92 civic with d15b7, mine did the same thing too

after the first head gasket replacement, you get to where you can do it in no time at all. the bigest pain in the *** is the oil spilling, and replacing the head by yourself. if you just mark the timing belt and slide it off the side, youll save loads of time. make sure you have a good torque wrench too!

That same problem happened on my 93 DX. My car overheated too much due to a radiator problem and my head gasket blew.

i think i might just trade her car in for something a bit better, as long as the car can last until dec. of course.
