Got a 93 dx hatch, seems to be leaking oil...need help
I currently have a 1993 Civic Dx, and it seems to be leaking oil, I havent taken it to the mechanic yet, because i wanna try to change it myself, people tell me its the oil gasket. How do i change the oil gasket?
How do you know it seems to be leaking oil? Are you seeing oil spots/puddles on the ground?
The oil gasket people are talking about is the oil pan gasket. It's in between the oil pan and the block.
To replace it:
Drain oil
Remove pan and old gasket material
Re-install new pan with new gasket
Add oil
Drive
For torque specs and the order to remove and tighten the bolts in your best bet is a service manual such as a Helms.

im not losing a significant amount of oil but there are oil stains underneath the car where the shifter lays as well. how many bolts are there to unscrew.
