disclaimer: I would post this in the cosmetics forum, but since I'm still a "trial user" i cannot.

I've been looking up and down for seats to fit my 89 civic sedan (LX). All of the seats in good condition are the wrong color, and all of the seats in poor condition are the right color.

I have seen a few 90 sedans that look like they woudl work, except they have the automatic seat belt and I dont' know of that is something that may make the seat incompatible with my car.

Would 88/89 Accord seats fit on the same rack?

I'm also curious to know what seats from other cars can be put in with minimal effort. I'd love to switch to leather or something more stylish. If i found seats for another car that matched the color how much work would I be in for?

I know the questions are vague at best, so please bare with me.

you can put 88-89 crx or civic si seats. you can buy some DA seats possibly modify it. buy some aftermarket Tenzo, Weapon R seats recaro lookalikes.

 

Anything will fit, you might need to make a bracket here and there, but most will fit!. As for direct drop in, your choices are limited down to seats from 1988-91 civic sedan

I tried on a few different seats, before i bought some Racing seats, none of them bolted in.

- prelude
- 1.6 EL (leather)
- DA teggy
- DC teggy
- RSX

(i worked at a honda scrap yard, and had nothing better to do lol)

this is wrong the 88-89 civic si or crx won't bolt in.but any 90-91 civic seat (notsure on crx) will bolt right in once u switch the rails with the sedan ones but rails bolt up same way. i currently have a 91 si seat in my 89 lx sedan.

 

Thanks mahng. This is the info I wanted. I like the look of those seats.

This means I can either get some 90 LX seats and change the rails or I can buy some after market seats like you have and put them in.

That being said, where did you get your seats? (link if you have it) I have been looking at ebay but i can't justify spending $150 for shipping.

 

i was actuall logged in as civicjdm but i bought the seats locally from a friend to bad u weren't closer im selling those seats i have a pair. brand new. but i won't ship
oh and the passenger seat is a 91 si
