Question, do you want high-end, or mabye suffer little at low-end.
Search other peoples' dynos. Pick a good high quailty brand that takes time in design...

I heard search makes a good header..
Really, there was a pretty good tread about this a couple days ago... Try here.... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=123301

I'd just keep the stock one considering the 99+ Preludes have a great header design to begin with. With the DC, you MIGHT gain 1, maybe 2 HP from it. I'd say that if you had some other major modifications to your engine that has raised the air and fuel consumption significantly, then a header may be worthwhile--but you have just a CAI, and I don't think a header would be at the top of your list. Just trying to save you some money, bro. If you need to blow 400-500 right now though, get a really good cat-back system
i would spend your money on something else, unless you really dont have anything else to buy. the 99+ headers are pretty good, you probably wont even notice a difference. why dont you go for an exhaust?
yes....I don't believe in the DCsports header. I measured my stock Apipe collector inner diameter(98base) and it was about 1.8-1.9". I thought to myself whoa....
Then I had asked a customer of mine to measure their new DCsports header and he told me it was 1.8", so I'm guessing that the DCsports Apipe is the same as stock. Thus, i doubt there is any highend gain from the DCsports header. I believe that if there is any gains it must be in the primary manifold. So who knows....if you want it to be a street car, maybe stock header is a good way to go for now and you can put your money into something else.
If you really want a cheap header for the sake of getting a aftermarket header. Then I think maybe you can consider the DCsports one, if not I'd suggest putting your money else where.
Good luck

The stock primaries are around 1-1/2". The DC primaries are 1-5/8" and the secondaries are 1-3/4". DC uses this 1-5/8" x 1-3/4" set up on the majority of their 4-2-1 headers from the D16 to the H22. The DC collector is 2" OD just like the D16, B16 and B18 stuff. THis is so it wioll bolt up to the stock exhaust.
The H22 header I'm getting ready to build will have primaries that start at 1-3/4" and have a 2-1/2" OD collector.

The Greddy header is stated to have larger primaries than DC. I know for a fact that my Greddy header is much larger than stock. But down at the collector they are all 2.0'' ID, which I believe is exactly like stock.
Just to clarify something. Exhaust tubing is always spec'd by OD and then wall thickness. So you may have 2-1/2" OD 16g (.065") tubing which would be 2.37" ID.
no need for a header i have a 98 lude the stock header on 5th gen ludes are real good and are basic aftermarket pipeing. i took mine in for service work which ill never do again i had a blown fuel injector which hondas are junk but anyways they called me back and said they wouldent do the work cause it was an aftermarket header It was athe stock manifold for the lude this dumb *** tech even thought it was a aftermarket. DUMBASS when in doubt learn and do it your self

here is an email from greddy about their header...

The primaries are 42.7mm and the secondaires are 45mm.

so about 1.68 inches for the primaries and 1.81 inches for the secondaries. would that be good enough to get sufficient air out of an h22 with aftermarket cams and all the bolt ons etc.?
