Ok so i got into my 2001 dx CRX automatic after work today and when i fired her up i noticed that it was bumpy bouncing a little... so i thought this was awkward so i was just gonna drive the mile to my house and check it out there... as i back out and drive for a little it's still a little shaky... then all of a sudden the CEL light flashes a couple of times then it jsut stays on... drove it home... checked gas cap... checked to make sure the spark plugs were in all the way and then fired her up again... the cel was still on so i decided to take it out for a little spin and i got it up to 65-ish with no problem... i'm pretty baffled about what it could be... i tried to look for the ecu code by following the steps outlined in https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=978933 but couldn't find the green cover by the kickguard...


help me pleassse... i searched and found nothinggggg

 

This car has OBD II, just go get a cheap DTC checker from shucks or something and check the code. Prolly a misfire code or something.

 

the CEL flashed that means you had a miss. not a dead miss but a miss that raises engine temps enough to harm the cat. when the CEL flashes its not good, you motor could be a few seconds away from well dying lol. If youd ont' have the resources to pull the code get it done asap and get the problem fixed
