Well i am piecing together a system for my truck, and i am wanting to show it off. Keep in mind its a single cab so i had to opp for the 10 type s( i wanted a type r or a type x sooo bad).

Here is prime example of what i <3 about Alpine

Alpine has the cleanest head units period. always going to be the best.

 

Alpine makes awesome stuff, their HU are great, and their higher-end subs and amps are nice and clean.

Make sure the install is well done, because that can make or break a system!

 

my buddy is an installer and will be aiding me with the install so its all good.

Alpine used to be decent, but lately I've been disappointed with them. The last Alpine HU that I owned was a CDA-7998 and while it was nice functionality wise, it doesn't do it for me sonically.

that HU shown is an '04 model i hear that the '05 downgraded. I love mine it has tilt, mp3 and color change.

 

the early 05's had problems with the face motorization mechanisms

Alpine makes a quality piece of equipment - no doubt about that, but they are not the only player in the game.

So far I'm happy with my 7996/H700 combo.

 

I love my old school cda-7894. And my new mrd-m501 amp.

 

best Damn qaulity Sound Ever......Nobody can ever top Alpine head Units....theres some thats out there that will try to have more bass or more powerful desks out there , but thats not what I want , I need good sounds with good bass......Alpine 4 Life...hahaahahahahahaha

 

exactly i am not a fan on nasty bass that make everything rattle. i love crisp, clean, sound with no distortion.

i used to think the same thing until i went eclipse.....and i've tried them ALL (alpine, pioneer, kenwood, jvc, clarion, panasonic, and blaupunkt)

bottom line: the eclipse cd3434 ($240) beat the **** out of my old alpine cda9835 ($550) in sound quality, with the same 4-channel amplified setup with components....period


alpine is nice, eclipse is sound quality at it's best

Yeah that the reason why they suck, Like they said man were gonna make our products suck this year cause best buy is gonna sell them, like they were any better when circuit city carried them only 8 months ago....your funny.

If anything, the best alpines, sony, etc blah blah blah do not have internal decks so they don't make the best by slapping in some amp that makes 20wrms. And besides, if anyone wants good sound without heavy distortion, who the hell would want to use the internal amp????

Well circuit city doesn't have the moving power that best buy has. best buy sells a ton more of. that's all i was sayin. to keep up with the increased demand they have to cut costs somehow.

 

For installation and wiring harness kits which company is better? Metra or Scosche?

Thanks again. Look like will be getting the Metra install kit but might get the Scosche harness kit since it a plug to make my dome light work that the Metra doesnt have.

you can't be serious that sony makes anything worth a damn when it comes to stereo equipment. Now I agree w/ you on McIntosh and Denon but sony doesn't even come close. Eclipse is another great maker.

the ES line, especially the cdx-c90 is able to kick over 90% of the decks' ***** today. Sony went gay and discontinued them a few years ago. Their amps had one of the most high quality and beautiful internal constructions I have ever seen.

The cdx-c90 can be be comparable to the pioneer P9, alpine cda-7969, blah blah blah.

 

yeah the cdx-c90 and cdx-c910 are the only sonys I would ever own. but their histroy!

 

sony ES, i have honestly never experienced

BUT every other SONY anything for mobile electronics are a big i try not to even mention the word sony when it comes to car electronics

but i do love their TVs

 

I'm a car audio dealer, and I have to say that this years JVC lineup is pretty impressive as well. But yea, Alpine, Eclipse, and even Kenwood (Excellon) are at the top of the game right now.

I am equally impressed with their current line-up, especially the higher end decks. Makes me want to switch decks.
