Default Installed amp, subs, wiring having problems starting car?

I just got 2 10" audiobahn subs and a audiobahn amp, hits hard. hehe

Their are times that when I try to start my car it goes click click click then I repeat and same thing then eventually after 30 seconds or so It will start up randomly when I try to start it up again.

What is causing this? I have never expierienced this problem before this auido equipment was installed. My battery plugs are on pretty tight.

all suggestions excepted. thank you

take it to a garage and have them do a starter draw test and to see if your alternator is cranking out enough amps.,.......might want to consider a cap too

how is you amp wired as far as the turn on wire goes if the turn on wire has 12volts all the time that could kill your battery.

Make sure your battery is fine, as thats what is involved in starting the car. The alternator doesn't play a role in starting the car, the battery provides the initial surge.

Don't get a cap unless your alternator is putting out well over enough amps (current) than your amp is drawing, otherwise it will just be another draw on your already struggling alternator and will be pointless.

[bigger of the two wires I asked you to check] to the starter motor itself, if the problem is there, [and intermitant] this will normally show up when you give the solenoid some sharp taps, if tapping the solenoid, [with key in start position] starts the car, then the problem is most likely the solenoid, but can be the connection or the starter motor itself. it is a cheap and easy test to do, and just may be your problem. 94

I had the same problem with my accord. I had the starter replaced a few months ago and the problem started. I took it back and they said that the starter was bad so they changed it for free cause it's still under warranty.
