Default Alex's 1990 Civic Si Hatch

I just bought it today for $450 CAD. Needs some work.

Tired looking DOHC ZC swap... needs a headgasket.

OEM Power windows (and they work!)

Power moonroof (and it works too!)

Cancer

Shooting liquid coolant out the tailpipe!

More cancer

OEM foglights

"some" work?

That's one of the dirtiest engine bays I've seen. Are you going to replace both rear quarters? Seems like a bad shell to start with.

As far as Canadian EF's on the East Coast go, I'd say it's not in that bad of a shape.

Wow. Is all that even worth the trouble? To repair all the rust damage, wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a Si hatch for 1000-1500?

Sure guys... it might be easier to find something with less rust (maybe not in Canada, I dunno) but what fun would that be?

The engine bay is covered in rust proofing. All the sheetmetal under that oil is mint, the undercarrige is mint as well.

I'm going to be replacing the quarters and rockers with some aftermarket ones, which isn't that expensive... besides I didn't buy this thing to turn it into a show car... it just needs to be reasonably quick when I'm done and reliable enough to be a daily driver.

And remember, I love a challenge when it comes to cars.

I almost forgot to mention that it has almost 250,000 miles (yes I did the conversion) on it, so the rust is understandable... especially with the amount of salt they use up here on the roads.
