Default Tranny problem

Ok.

My Tranny is not shifting properly, because it does not shift into 4th gear (only 1,2, & 3). Because when going @ highspeeds it revs high... because its not shifting into the last gear. Does anyone know how to solve this? Do i need a new Tranny or can this issue be resolve without doing so.

i'm assuming it's an auto...

it could be your tcu or transmission...could be both...it's hard to say with an auto...try changing the fluid and go from there...if it still isn't working, try swapping the tcu with a buddy or something if you can (try not to buy one just to diagnose a problem)...if it's still not going into 4th then your tranny is fucked...in which case you will probably need to get a new one...i wouldn't really waste my time with a rebuild on that tranny...

Well if ur tranny staying in third gear its going into a fail safe mode. I dunno if that year accord has shift solenoids but if they do u might want to replace those or u can do what nick h said and borrow a friends TCU and check it out.
