My 1999 GSR with 88,000 miles burns oil - one quart every 300-500 miles. Car has been used but not abused. Several people told me that this problem can be common on GSR engines. If so, what is the fix - piston rings or valve seals? Thank you.

 

You'll need to find a compression tester. With a little research you can learn how to identify either a piston ring problem or a valve problem.
