i cant figure out what is causing this noise in my civic. its a knocking noise coming from the front right that cannot be heard during acceleration only during coasting ideally around 40mph. its enough to vibrate both driver and passenger floor boards. seems to make it each rotation. any ideas what could be causing this? i just spend the last 1/2 hour tightening every bolt i could find under my car.

 

go get an alignment done and check your wheels to see if they are still balanced

 

sounds like a broken axle to me.

 

any way to check that on my own?
