yeah i was ondering how to take the sterring wheel off of my 99 civic hatch back. i want to put a an si one on there, but i could not get the original one off. if you could give me any advice, it would help.

 

remove the 2-3 screws on the back of the steering wheel holding the air bag. when you get it unscrewed, disconect the air bag. Then youll see a 19mm bolt(if i remember correctly) tack that off. wiggle the steering wheel left to right, up and down to break it loose. It should just come off.

 

If i was you i would unplug the battery just incase.

 

Yes...it would suck if that air bag blew up on you.....safety first.

 

Isnt there a airbag bypass plug your suppose to plug up for safety purposes by the steering column?
