Default A/C problems

I have a stock 92 4 door dx with a/c, one of the problems is a/c blows cool not cold, so i'm assuming it needs to be recharged. The main problem is when put under medium to hard acceleration the a/c stops blowing cool or cold air at all, now the fan still blows just not the a/c, after this the a/c doesnt come back on at all just the fan. I'm comepletely lost when it comes to this a/c problems maybe the a/c clutch is going out i dont know. Anyone have any ideas?

past a certain RPM the compressor will disengage to avoid damage. what are you revving at?

You might have a bad compressor

yeah i was thinking the compressor was bad, i take back the previous statement when the A/C blows it blows real cold but its disengaging everytime, at this point im not sure if its at a certain rev, if it is its disengaging at mid range probably 4-5000 rpms, but it might be disengaging at idle temp, and sometimes when shut off and left for 10-15 minutes when turned back on it works but then disengages again im lost at this point and would really appreciate any ideas or suggestions anyone has, especially with the TEXAS HEAT!

it will also disengage when it sees that the system is cool enough, and to keep it from ice build up.

possibly a bad thermostat.

Have you had the A/C system charged or had the person who owned it before charge it resently...wonder if there is air in the lines and the system was not vaccumed properly...just throwing a bone out

It's just a little low on gas, add a bit (not a can) or have your local ac guy charge it correctly.
