It never fails.......!!
It seems like i have the worst luck of all ppl. Everytime I get my car running good something else has to turn on me.......just straight bad luck, and it's getting old. Well last night a few friends and I figured we cruise down to ATL for the hell of it. I mean we did just graduate and wanting to have some fun. anyways I had to pull off an exit to get a drink and as I was taking a right it felt like I had just hit a huge rock or sewage drain. Well we were in a bad part of town and it's 2 am so I didnt really want to stop....that is till a friend behind me called to say that my damn intake fell off and messed up my fender......just wonderful. Anyways they pulled over and got my fender lining and the bottom half of my intake!! So now my I have to buy another intake and fender w/lining...a never ending money pit. So here are a couple pics of the damage....not really to bad but I just cant believe my intake tore it apart like it did. Oh yeah my car is filthy cause it has rained like Seattle the past couple weeks and yes I know my wheels are nasty right now....wheel shop put freakin' weights on the outside...exactly like what I told them not too do. Oh well
Steve - who recommends never buying a two piece intake (Generic Brand), if you do make sure it's on REAL DAMN TIGHT!!! only a recommendation
***EDIT***
I forgot to mention when i had the cops come - I thought maybe I hit a semi-tire or something at first, before I realized it was my intake - the cop wanted to look to see what was done to the engine and stuff......I thought I was goin' to get a **** load of violations but it turns out that he has a DB2 also and wanted to see how I re-wired my headlights.....turned out to be a pretty cool guy!!

yeah I purposely told them to use the sticky weights and when I went back to pick up the car it was like that
but they were just lucky that i was on a timed schudule and did not have time for them to fix it.

sucks with the luck man, good karma will come back to you though, don't worry. Maybe I'll catch up with you at the ATL meet. I'm in Athens. Good luck with your car man.
