7gen Accord pre-muffler & muffler backpressure
I removed my stock muffler & pre-muffler and put on a universal dual tip dtm ractive for now. When i bought the car, i wanted the sound right away so i quickly got it installed.
It is a bit loud but the tone is nice and throaty. Pretty deep too.
One thing however i don't like is sometimes when i shift from first to second there may be a bit of a "prap prap" sound if i don't keep the rpms up quickly.
I've also think that i noticed a very minimal decrease in low end torque off the line. This may also be due to the sound. It may have changed my perception but it's hard to measure. I do think i get better top end. I also unhooked the resonator from the intake.
I'm thinking i should get a silencer or a glass pack to regain some backpressure.
Any thoughts or opinions?

in the future i'd probably get a real cat-back but most of them seem to have only round tips. It's not that i don't like them, i just don't think round tips suit an accord.
I'll probly bite the bullet and get one that is engineered my car sometime in the future but it gets kinda pricey for little gain i've heard..
any other thoughts as to why my exhaust setup acts this way.
Someone out there must have welded on a universal muffler.

To tell you the truth the Comptech exhaust systems for this Accord V6 have gained close to 20 whp. Not sure what engine you have but you can always buy an aftermarket system and weld a different tip on.
