ok... here i am again.. posting bout my POS DA... just a quick questions 4 ya guys...

here is a quick scenario of what happened.. my car was fine last week... i parked it on friday morn... left for the weekend, got back sun aft and guess what... she wont start.... thing is that she turns over just fine but wont catch... another weird thing bout his is that the exhaust kinda starts to kick in when you feather the gas.. but she still wont start. i towed her to the shop and they are taking 4 ever to even look at her... im thinking its maybe the timing belt, r fuel filter/pump.. ne other suggestions??

why would you think its the timing belt? if it is, your motor is completely fucked already... check for spark, then fuel, then do a compression test.. if ya got all three, she should fire up.

some mechanic said it might be that.... well my guy got it running... he said that it was smoking like a bitch for a mn.. but it seems ok... he also said sumthing bout oil and gas in the cylinders.. not sure exactly what he was talking about since his cell was cuttin in and out.. all i know is its running.. for now... but it cost me $90 to NOT find out the problem....

lol sorry!!

check the distributor and wires, you might have a bad wire or something causing it to crap out... im not really sure why it would be doing that.

if theres oil in the cylinders then your rings could be bad.. that means your motor needs a rebuild.

Could also be bad valve stem seals. Cheaper than a ring job

id say change the wires see how it is my car wouldnt start and then it kick over and then die. turned out to be ******* wires. also check ur main relay see if u switch it with a different one(if u can get ur hand on one) if that helps.
