11.6 comporession and reformulated pump gas in WI?
Whats up everyone, heres my situation.
I have a 97 spec ITR swap in my Hatch. I'm going to be putting new pistons and rings (Stock ITR) in the motor. I was thinking of a mugen or spoon head gasket (mugen gains .4 and spoon gains .5) . But heres the dilema, In wisconsin we have reformulated gas (10% water or somewthing like that), can i run 11.5-11.7 compression on the crappy gas I get here? I plan on daily driving the vehicle.

I believe you are correct, we got a lot of that crap here in Iowa too. Gotta love the Mid-west

Well thats the thing, I have a P28 Ecu chipped for vtec at 4800 and redline at 9k. I have cam gears and a fuel pressure regulator, thats all i have for tuning, no Hondata or anything. But doesnt hhigh cpompression burn rings faster as well? Cause i think i have around 35000-40000 miles on my swap and i burn oil already....
