srs light help please
Hey all,
I posted the other day of a problem that i'm having with my fiance's 01 v6 accord coupe. long story short, her side airbag indicator kept flashing on and off for no reason what's so ever, but it WOULDN'T ever stay perm on. So I disconnected the guages, removed and unscrewed the light bulb for that indicator.
WASN'T ever on before thid, but now her srs light is staying on. I thought to unscrew that bulb too, but there's no light to take out. I've read several posts about how to jump the circuit or whatever to reset the memory. forgive me, but i don't really trust myself with it and I don't want to take it to Honda to charged just to reset the light.
If someone could post pictures of how to reset it, that would be fantastic and I'd really appreciate it. Or at least guide me to somewhere that would have pictures of the procedure. Appreciate the help
Thanks,
Andy

Just go to radio shack and buy a simple on off toggle switch, attach two wires to it, one on each terminal and insert the two wire ends into the SRS reset connector. Do the on and off cycle per instructions each to be switched within 5 seconds of the light coming on or going off, again per the instructions that you have that I am sure are correct. The switch will do away with an unsteady hand and the stiff paperclip that you may be using to short out the connector. You can keep it for any future needs for the SRS light again or the regular OBD I connector to retrieve diagnostic codes. Good luck.

DUDE DUDE DUDE...i cant belive you would just pull the bulb out to fix the problem? are you secretly trying to kill your finance?!?
my 1995 LX SRS light was on...turned out the SRS main unit was bad, and the air bags would not deploy in an accident, therefore causing injury. With air bag systems, i would not **** around at all, take it to the dealer. I found an SRS unit in the junk yard and fixed it my self...no more light.
be smart man
