Default Spring Rates and Lengths

I currently have Koni Yellows (OTS) and ERS springs with the GC sleeves. The fronts are 800.250.500. I have the clip on the Koni's in the full bottom position. My question is if the clip was moved up 1 notch (1"), and I installed a 700.250.500 spring, would the shorter spring change the setup in terms of spring rate?

No, it would just raise the ride height...

The only way to change that springs rate would be to cut some coils off (stiffen), or add another spring on top of that one (soften)...

Wouldn't it be the same height? Since he goes up 1" and uses a 1" shorter spring?

The ride height should not be affected, as I am raising the sleeve 1", and installing a spring that is 1" shorter. I was just curious about weather or not it would change anything else.

Oops, I didn't notice that you went from an 8" to a 7" spring...

Personally I don't think there would be ANY difference at all. The only difference from the longer spring to the shorter one will be the amount of spring travel. The shorter coil will bind up before the longer one, but I am pretty sure a 700.250.500 spring still has more compression travel at ride height than your shocks.
