Like the title says, anyone knows excatly what kind of tools I will be needing to do this project myself, also will it really make a difference on how it feels after the install? thanks in advance.

Its incredibly easy. Basic hand tools, I think its just 12mm and 10mm sockets, thats all I really remember. Oh yea a pick or whatever you want to use to take off the o rings. I used a lift at work which made it easier than crawling under a car on jack stands. My short shifter does make a difference, I used to have a problem while autocrossing where my leg would make it go out of second gear around a tight turn, and my brother would make it slip out of fifth with his long *** legs. Hasnt happened yet with my short shifter.
