Default How do hard water spots get on the paint ?

As dumb as it sounds I just spent alllll day using 3m compound remover to get off the previous water stains. I never wanna have to do that agian so ..What should i do ? Ive never had water stains on my paint before so I assume to clean it and wax normally ? Would parking under trees etc make them show up faster ? Thanks

It's from rain or from washing your car, not drying it with a Chamois cloth and the water spots just "sink in"

Ok I know the car sat for awhile under a tree so I guess thats what did it. Theyre still on some areas of the car and took some serious elbow grease. Surprsingly the paint underneath is in great shape

the actual water spot are minerals and **** in the water, once the water evaporates it leaves that **** on your paint, just put a good coat of wax on there and if you're really **** buy a filter on your hose to take out the deposits, thats what i did, never worry about stains again
