Was up everyone,
I have a 2000 civic si B20 turbo. My car cranks, but wont start. I know its a problem with the ignition because there is no spark. Its not the battery or alternator beacuse they were changed.The weird thing is that my stereo, headlights, hazards, and inside lights work, but not my power windows or turn signals. I don't know if anyone has encountered or know someone who has this problem and how it was take about. (coil or ignition???) Thanks for your help.

 

well, i have a 2000 si as well and i was reading recalls on it before i bought it and i came across something to do with the ignition switch. maybe that has to do with it.

Check if you are getting spark. Check your fuses also. Also, check if your lights if it stay on in the dash like engine oil, check engine light, SRS, etc when you turn the ignition to on position.

 

Thanks!!! I will contact honda to see if that is my problem. In my gauge cluster none of the lights light up when i turn the ignition on. Thanks!!!

 

before you call honda, make sure again... (even everything that link with the powe like deck, light and what not is still on. but the power win/wip won't work) make sure or try a brand new battery. i had the same problem, but it was on my toyota, i though is something about the car itself, but then i went to get a new battery,,,, it work,,, it was just because the old battery was way too old, even when i change it for a few hours to one nite, it won't take any at all.
