i recently bought a 2001 Integra LS and everytime i start the car for the first time during the day it idles up to 1500 rpms for about a minute or so and then goes back to the normal 700+/- rpms. Is this normal or what's wrong? Half a tank of gas gets me about 100 miles which is really wrong because I have never drove it past 4k rpms yet and barely has 40k miles on the motor so I should be getting about 150 miles. What should I do? thanks in advance

 

mine idles like that too.....100 miles per half tank kinda sux...I get about 300 or so now, but I have LS/VTEC Before the LS/VTEC i was getting around 380 or so

 

replace the air filter, flush the fuel system, and get some carb & tb cleaner and clean out the TB. never know how much the previous driver drove it or how.
