pr3 ecu or p28 ecu
i just got a obd0 b16 swap for my 91 civic si can i use a p28 ecu or do i have to buy a pr3 ecu if i use my p28 do i have to use the 4 wire o2 senser and the obd1 dis or can i just use the dis that came with my obd0 swap and what would be bettere to leave it 0bd0 or go obd1 what u think
you need a four wire 02 if you go obd1, and if you have the spare ecu, you should. as said above its much easier to tune with obd1.
it would also be a perfect time to get an integra type-r header with the single low o2 sensor collector by the cat. otherwise, you have to plug/cover the two up top, and add the bung down low to the factory obd0 header. not worth the effort, since you could get an ITR knock off for real cheap these days on ebay and such.
it might also be a good idea to use an adapter harness when performing the obd0-obd1 conversion, you can find them:

SO many more options with OBD1, it really is worth it.

yes my 91 civic si is obd1 convert i have a single vtec swap in the car now put i'm going to put a obd0 jdm b16 swap in this weekend and i would like to know if i can use a p28 ecu with the obd0 set up what would be better to leave it obd1 or put it back to 0bd0 and get a 0bd0 pr3 ecu now is there a obd0 pr3 and a obd1 pr3 or there the same
alright, if the motor is obd0, cheap way to go would be to get the obdo ecu (pr3), and use the dizzy thats with the motor or a modified obd0 b18a dizzy, there are threads that discuss this, just do a search and you'll find it.
Trust me when I say OBD1 is worth it. Car will run better. Car will be more tuneable, the options are endless with a p28. People have modded P28s to run all kinds of ****. Might as well save yourself the trouble and do it now!

I'll have to check all that out. I guess I should post this below all my posts:
"User may, at any time, not know what the hell he is talking about, but thinks he knows everything"
Haha, good info forcefed
give me a good read tonight when I get off work.

But the PR3 and BRE don't have NEARLY the options Crome gives you. Turboedit is nice, but so is realtime programming without an emulator. Either way works, it just depends on what you'd like to do with the car. For REALLY big power, I'd feel better with Chrome, due to all the plugins for high RPM and all that. Whatever you're comfortable with is what you should use though.
my 91 civic is wired for obd1 i have the conversion harness,4 wire o2 sensor and the dist that i have is wired for obd0 wir harness but it off a 95 single vtec obd1 is that ok

If you're using an OBD1 ecu you can't use the OBD0 distributor. It has a different sensor configuration inside, not just the plugs.
