Hey guys whats up,

I found this digi cam thats says it can take 12MP pics, and its also a video cam

Think its worth $100? New,

And my curent digi cam sucks 100% and its like $60

buy a canon a510 and call it a day. cheap and effective.

No need for 12mp.

No need for high MP at all. Hell, go get you a a95 and have fun dude. When you get an SLR and have trouble with it like me, youll wish you got the more "user friendly" camera.

basically it's just a crappy 3MP camera with no optical zoom. "interpolated" megapixels are nothing, and just a way to cash in on the misunderstanding that higher megapixels > *.

go with ben howard's advice and spring for a canon a95. its probably the best non-dSLR for the price. there's a thread around here with sample pics from canon a series cameras.
