Would a bad fuel pump cause leaking....i know on old muscle cars that whent the pump goes bad it leaks...is the same ttrue for da rex

 

The most likely place for a leak on the crx is around the filler neck and around where the neck enters the tank. Most likely the tank or filler neck is rusted out and leaking.

And to answer your question: a bad fuel pump should not cause leaking.
