1) bad aerodynamics
2) lack of horsepower
3) bad aerodynamics

no difference in front end. and by the time he hits 120, his motor should be at 5600rpm, so gearing isn't his first enemy. the problem, sir, is that at this speed, you have just passed your stock torque peak, and so it will seem to run out of power. the stock LS motor peaks its torque i think at 5200rpm, so it should fall off soon after.

and when i said aerodynamics, i mean you won't be able to fix that with factory Honda parts.

it should definitely be able to hit well above 115 if you have some time on your hands. i think it should do 125 maybe 130mph bone stock. assuming the engine is in good shape, that is. i've taken my car on trips to 100mph when it was just a bolt-ons only car and before my first aerodynamic enhancements and 100 came fairly easily. it climbed rather slowly, but it kept chugging. i still think my car has poor high speed acceleration, but hey, i drive a daily driven non-turbo integra with 176k miles, so i just live with it.

I hit 130mph in my LS with a short ram intake.

Had lots of room to get there and I prolly wouldn't do it again though. No need to.

i knew they'd do 130mph. and no, a "blown suspension" as you call it would not affect a whole lot i don't think. it might actually help reduce the amount of air under the car by allowing the meager stock downforce to provide more lowering of the car at speed.

no, i'm not saying to buy a ricer body kit. those are probably worse than stock. but a front air dam or lip spoiler would be a good idea, and a belly pan, and a diffuser, and maybe an underbody bump-style wing right behind the engine.

umm you really dont need to be going over 115...unless you got your 12 second 11 second car then i could see where this would be needed...but you arent trapping 115....or anywhere near it...i honestly hope the highway patrol catches these idiots driving at these speeds on public roads and suspends your licenses...

my 96ls did 120 when i first got it and that was bone stock, only non-oem part was the CD player. It took a while to hit 120 but it did it.

My old DA did 135 and that was maxed!!! as far as the aero goes at 110-120 it felt really loose, after that it seemd to of hit a good spot and actually setteled down and felt a bit more stable. But this is still not something i will do again. I did it on a wide open rode in the middle of california on a road i traveled many times so i kew about where i could go for it and not have to worry too much about other cars. It still was NOT SAFE, and i have now learned the error of my ways.

ok.. first of all i said it was my first teg. I was 17 years old, and it was a new highway at night and the only peeps on it were me and my buddies... im almost 23 now and i never break 100 in public... I certainly dont condone people flying down a freeway at 100+ with other motorists around.. and what the **** do you care about what someone else is doing? **** off

edit: oh yeah and i saw your pic at your "home page".. nice hair.. *snickers*

ok... what makes me irresponsible? The fact that I was once young and stupid like you? I admit that its not the smartest thing to be flying down a public road at 100+. The thread is titled "top speed". I was posting my "top speed". Oh yeah.. and here in texas there is plenty of open road to use

oh yeah and nice sig btw...

you can continue to justify something that would be counted as attempted vehicular homocide....and ive never taken my car above 100 on any public road...and it damn well has enough power to get there....its called a track...20 bucks...run your car all night....try it

and get a haircut... hippie

not to take sides, i'm just watching this crap unfold, but is "homocide" the planned and methodical killing of all gay people in the world?

good job commenting on a 2 yr old picture...your cool...but thats been besides the point from the moment you mentioned it....here in florida...you break the speed limit by x amount...it becomes a criminal offense....guess in texas they allow idiots to do this kinda thing...and for someone younger than you...i seem to have more sense and a degree of responsibility....

ok this is getting ridiculous... this is the last comment im going to make...
first of all reguarding the pic... im not the one that posted my personal info and a pic of myself on the internet.. second what grounds do you have to say that you have more sense and are more "responsible" than me? I commented that I once got an integra up to 135 on the freeway 6 years ago and you label me now as irresponsible (hows that for sense?). And lastly, yes.. it is illegal. In texas you automatically go to jail if you double the speed limit. So unless you know me personally, i wouldnt think you have the grounds to call me anything (much less senseless and irresponsible). So keep your degrading comments to yourself.

will do....

i guess breaking speeds well above the speed limit makes you responsible and sensible...my mistake i apologise....silly me...

oh and by the way...the comment i made about irresponsible...wasnt directed to anyone in particular...but you decided to take it to heart....so eh...point i was making was ANYONE breaking those speeds on the highway deserves to have their license revoked....not just you...but i really dont care if you were offended...
