I know it doesn't take a genious to know your muffler is shot to crap. But I noticed today that I have steel wool coming out of my muffler. Now I know it needs to be replaced but with the muffler like this I could be robbed of backpressure right? My teg has been stalling out for some weard reason latley mostly at stops and I figured this might be it. Any help would be nice. Thanks fellas

 

Wouldn't losing backpressure be beneficial?

Back pressure in an exhaust is generally evil.
