I'm looking for some information on availability of KTM's new Super Duke. I did a couple searches here and on google and I can only find reviews of the bike. Does anyone know if it is in the states yet? And also what price range it will be in. It looks like it might be right up my alley. Thanks for any info.

Have you called Summit Motor Sports yet? 406-586-7147. Probably the first place I would check in your area.

According to KTM's website though, it is not available in the USA right now.

 

Looks like an awesome bike. I want one. And an RC8.

Mr Hammond, are you from the Bozeman area? That threw me off when you mentioned Summit. I guess KTM dealers can be found on the web for any location.

Anyway, I'll have to stop by there this week. I'll post up any information I find out. Thanks for the replies.

 

I read that the US is not getting the 990. Sucks, we never get the good stuff. I was actually entertaining the idea of getting one when I first read about it.

Nope. Just went to KTM's website, dealer locator. Saw you were from CO, checked them out and saw there was one in your town. Then went to the 990 Super Duke website and clicked on dealer and USA was not a choice. Amazing what you can find on the interweb.

Sounds like a bad *** bike. Not sure if I like the "creased look". Seems more robotic machine like. Need something with curves.

DAMN, that is some bad news and it's a Monday to make things worse. I was dying to try it out. Coming from my dirt bike background I think it would have been great. I don't want a dual sport and I thought of doing a street legal supermoto(you can register anything for the road here in Montana; ATVs, etc.), but once I saw this I was set. The strait wide bars, light weight, lots of torque, and fun factor seemed to be just right. Oh well, maybe in the future something similar from KTM will make it here.
