Default Have you ever heard of this?

a good friend on mine tried to tell someone that he had a bike and rode one that "supposedly" shifted on the right hand side instead of the left. i mean you shift with your right foot instead of your left. now he is infamous for talking crap that isn't true but before i totally give him hell , have any of you heard of this? i haven't and no one else has i know so here i am asking for your info.

also with a 92 gsxr 600 there was a 600 and a 600w , what are the differences in the 2?

The Enfield Bullet has a right foot shifter.

The old Indians (and maybe the new ones) have a right hand operated shifter and a right foot clutch.

There are bikes that you shift with your right foot on, one of the italian or british companies make them. NOT ducati or Agusta though......I have an article about one lying around the house somewhere.

It's practically impossible for a gixxer 1.1 to have right foot shifting unless he actually spent a few G's on getting the parts machined. That'd include the crankcase, shifter fork linkages, etc.

I say he's a BS'er.

a gsx-r600w is just the 1998 model 600. Like eg, ek, ej civics, Its just the model name , mostly used overseas though.

{quote}The Gixer is right shift.{quote}

Maybe in england it is, but everywhere else in the world gixxer's are left foot shift.

Remember you guys are one of the few countries that drive on the wrong side of the road
maybe they make a special gixxer for the backwards drivers.

older Aprilla Rs125's came with right side shifting i think, and it is inversed gears meaning you pull up for first gear and tap down for the rest of the gears. And whoever stated this previous is correct: there are no gixxers that shift on the right side.
