hose on manifold obd0 b16a

one of the hoses on the manifold tha basically runs from the top to the bottom of one the runners. its a hard vacuum line. shaped kinf of like an "s". is it necissary? what does it do? i broke mine and plugged both ends and the car idles fine. no codes yet.

I believe thats you egr valve hose. Is there a plastic 90 deg. piece at the bottom of the mani?

yea thats it. do i need the hose? is ther an egr delete process? right now i threw a vacuum plug on both holes in the mani.

NO, im pretty sure thats the hose that goes to the pcv valve, and yes you need it.
