Default LSD Tranny problems.

I installed my tranny w/ Quaife LSD that I got off a fellow HT member and it seems within the diff there are like 2 washers, I wanted to know if other members with Quaife on their D-series have 2 washers that are supposed to be in between the 2 axles.
The reason why I ask is when I put my axles in they dont quite fit all the way and leak MTF slowly. Is this because I need different axles? Are there any other axles for D-series? This is a CRX Si Trans and I have those axles. Please let me know if anyone can help me out.. I'll try to get pics asap.

Bump for you.. If anyone knows why this would happen please post it in here.. I sold him this tranny and Quaife and I like to make sure people who deal with me are happy with their stuff..

I was using 93 civic dx axles with this tranny in my crx before if that makes a difference.. Im not sure what you mean when you say washers inbetween the axles..

Here is a pic of that tranny and Quaife at my house a while ago, is what your talking about in the pic?

Those arn't washers.

They are the ends of the gears that the axles rest against.

If your tranny is leaking fluid at the axle, then your tranny seals need replacing.

nah the axles just dont get close enough to seal it correctly. theres about | | that much space until the actual whole axle foot can be flush, i tried using a rubber mallet and hitting it but it doesnt want to budge, I will try again...thanks for the input tho.

Are both of the axles not going in the same distance? I wonder if maybe something small is sitting in there or something like that, maybe a piece of packaging foam or something, you never know..

Try to pinch in the ring clips at the tranny side of the axle a little. I had to do that on my friends to get his in. Something to try.

If the retaining rings are expanded too much, it will make it very hard to seat the axle.

ya well i thought that was the prob too, so what i did was took the ring off all together and tried to put the axle in w/o it to see if i could get it flush but it doesnt go. is it cause i need axles with longer grooves? like zc shafts?
