I am in the process of getting rid of all silver peices on my bike. I am goign to replace it all with black parts. I know i can get all the bolts at sears. i just don't know the sizes.

What you are probably going to have to do is go to someone like ronayers.com and look at the online microfiche for your bike and it will list the fastners for your bike. You will have to search for each individual bolt as they do not have a listing for a complete kit that I know of. Do remember that they will be metric and you will want to get stainless bolts otherwise they will rust and look like azz. (Ask me how I know, some of the ones on my f3 were replaced by the black ones and they rusted and look like azz. I have to get some stainless replacements.

The bolt kit previously mentioned are generally aluminum. Lockhart phillips offers a bike specific kit as well as a universal kit, and tasty nutz offers the same, however the aluminum bolts are prone to breaking as they are not as strong.

There is at least one company out there that makes titanium replacement kits but they are hella expensive.

I would guess that they are probably 6mm and 8mm bolts for the most part but double check in the online microfiche.

Also, you may not find ones with the same head style as the oem ones so make sure they will work properly or you may need to get washers as well.

Good luck dude.

There are companys like LP USA and others that make anodized universal bolt kits that come with tons of 6-14mm bolts and fairing bolts and windscreen bolts etc....

Probably a hell of a lot easier then slowly replacing one by one.

Mr hammond,

Have you used the anodized aluminum lp bolt kits?

If you tighten the bolts all the way down the friggen heads snap right off. My buddy bought a set for his zx6r and he ended up snapping a good amount of em off putting em on. He got to the point where he was almost completely tightening em by hand and that's it. He gave me a few spares and I used em but took em off and pitched em in the trash cause that is all they are good for.

Yeah the titanium ones are nice, light and expensive. Definately the way to go vs. aluminum ones.

Oops... I'll be the first dumbass to stand up to say I did not notice your request for black specific, sorry about that. BUT... any bolt can be black chromed or powder coated.
