Default cel codes, the same for all hondas?

are the cel code definitions the same for civics and accords? if i diagnos it myself with a paper clip, how do i know if its a PXXX type code?

You only get the pxxxx codes using a scantool on OBD2 models. If you want to jump the service check connector or DLC for the codes, you have to count the CEL flashes.

but how do i know what the code means? are they the same as all civics? its a 2000 accord, i want to make sure its the same codes compared to the civic or if someone can tell me what all the codes for a 2000 accord are

OBD2 codes are the same for all cars, except one that start with a specific set of characters, I have it written down when I find it I will post it.

if you got an "Autozone" in your area, they can use the OBD II scanner in the parking lot for free!!!

this site doesn't mentioned that u can access your 2000 model via paper clip tool; so I suggest getting it read via autozone for free...
