I tried doing a search but "vx" cant be searched. I just got a D15b Vtec and supposedly the bottom end of that motor is equivalent to the VX. But I also heard that the VX pulley only has the pulley part for the alternator and thats it. The pulley on my D15b has alternator and something else Im assuming PS. Anyways can someone clearify this? I figure if they are cheap enough it would be a good choice for a lighter pulley due to the fact it still has a damper. Thanks

 

A/C maybe? The pulley on my D16A6 has two grooves; one for the alternator, another for the A/C belt...

 

Yeah, mine does too, but is there an OEM crank pulley that has JUST the alternator belt. So I can still have the dampener? I have heard too many bad things about aluminum pulleys causing premature bearing failure..... Although I have not experienced it myself it would make sense that it COULD cause it.

u can still buy a harmonic dampener and put it on the aftermarket aluminum one

I had a Civic VX. Pulley supported alternator and AC. VX's did not come with PS.
