I have an 89 honda civic with a 1.5L and Auto. the car shifts HARD and late like it has a Drag only shift kit. It is blinking codes 16 and 20, which from what i gather its not supose to blink either of those codes for this year. Also the converter will not lock up at all. pretty much it wont shift until 3000 RPMs.sometimes it will shift at 2250 RPMs but you have to let off the gas all the way. The engine runs strong though. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

 

first thing you should do is check the tranny fluid.when mine was still a auto and it got low*slow leak* it would shift really hard...
