I am trying to build my gsr motor for my teggy... My hp goal is somewhere in the neighborhood of 200whp... give or take 10hp
Here is what I have now:
-00 US b18c1 GSR Motor
-Milled GSR Head
-CTR Cams
-DC Header
-Shortram Intake
-Full 2.5" Exhaust, no cat
Here is what I am planning:
-00 US b18c1 GSR Motor
-p30 b16 Sir-II pistons
-Milled GSR head
-Stock oem honda head gasket
-Skunk2 Stage2 Cams
-Rocket Valvetrain
-Ported GSR Manifold with butterfly plate removed...
-65mm Throttle body
-310cc Injectors
-255 fuel pump
-Hondata s200, dyno tuned by Church Automotive Testing in sunny socal...
-ProFab header
-Possibly a type-r trans.. or a sir-II trans with lsd...
Im guessing that setup will yeild somewhere in the high 11's compression wise, which I was reading is near the optimal compression ratio of 12:1 for the s2s2 cams.. However, I do hear many good things about the rocket M22's .. Which do you think would yeild better powerband and peak hp results?
And do you think my goal is achievable with that setup?

I Dont know about 200whp. BUt it might be close. Ditch the porting of the gsr and go with skunk2 or blox..

I've done alot of research on the intake manifold, and everywhere i look there are the same results. With the skunk manifolds there is a big loss in midrange torque and power but it improves it up top. As far as the ported gsr manifolds there is an increase in power throughout the powerband.
Rocket M22 cams make great power mated with his valvetrain..pick up with one of the two skunk or blox mani whatever you can find cheapest and use your stock throttle body..send it to maxbore.com to get them bored out and matched to ITR or even better specs for fairly cheap..you might wanna pick up on an FPR and a fuel rail aswell with some very healthy cams and alota of tuning with a great header you can make 200 whp or maybe a littel shy off from it.

That is what I am hoping... Im crossin my fingers..
I might be picking some m22's and rm valvetrain up... If anyone has any fs lemme know..

with this set up and right tuning it should make over 200 after tuning. This is a must, becuase I have made over 200 using almost the same components on a vafc!!! good luck on your build
