Default AWD civic HB???

I was wondering since the wagon civic comes in AWD why have'nt i heard of any conversions? I wouldnt mind having my HB AWD. I also heard the 87 wagon had optional 6speed, 88-91 also available 6speed?

If you'd have searched, you'd have found 10 million threads on this topic. Conversions have been done before. I personally feel it is a waste of time, money, and effort.

RealTime 4WD is not AWD. It is part-time 4WD.

The 6-speed has normal 1-5 gearing, with 1 additional low-ratio "granny gear."

Im working on a AWD crx, I havent finished it yet because im getting the parts at the moment but Ill try to keep people posted, Im thinking where people have gone wrong Is with the power output I dont know because i havent read very much about other peoples. Im going to be useing a CRV AWD Transmission with a Turboed b18b with the beter flowing b16a head but probably might cut out the vtech or adj the cam timing to git rid of the valve over lap during vtech. The other stuff im useing and how im doing it all is kinda secret at the moment till i get it all figured out. My thought is even if the crv trany gearing isnt so great turboing the b18b and locking into around 200whp to 250whp it should have a rather good power curve and able to move that 2400lbs Package Its all about trq when you get into this awd. I think a b18c on a Awd setup would suck lol I dont know I have been called crazy many times for doing this but we will see when im done.

You glossed over the hardest part.. What are you doing with the rear end? I started one of these too. But I figured out early: "it is a waste of time, money, and effort"
