Default cant get rid of code 9 on the ecu

i got a zc motor and i tried switchin distributor and after i put back my old one, the ecu kept on showing code 9 ( #1 cylinder sensor). i kept on resetting the ecu and it still comes on. i do not have the integra distributor on my zc. i have my stock hf distributor on, which was customize. i never had this problem when i first put it on but now it keeps on showin code 9 and running like crap. do i really need to hook it the #1 cylinder sensor for my zc? please help..... i am using a 89 integra ecu if that helps.

no he didnt because his car is an hf. its probably some wirings at his distributor that got mixed up when he was rewiring his zc distributor from an hf/si to zc. not sure.

balistic crx...come by tomorrow..let me check it out.

Well your throwing a code 9...don't you hate it....
Well here a re a few things to check. I fought this thing for about 2 mos.
1. check your timing
2. check wiring for the Cyp sensor. (try swapping pin locations)
3. Check wiring for distributor (same as above.)

If you are throwing a code 9 that is code for Cyp sensor. On the exhaust cam. It is possible that this sensor is bad. I tried swapping aout everything i could, wires, cyp, distributor and still through the code. It wasn't untill i swapped the wires for the distributor that the code went out. The ZC motor pulls 2 signals...one from the Cyp sensor and one from the distributor. After i swapped those 2 from the distributor and reset the ecu the code went out. But being that you are running a modded HF distributorit is possible that that is your problem. Trying do the wire swaps before you start buying parts. hth
