I got my windows tinted Tuesday and I notice that where i took off the old tint, on the back window, the defroster strips came off in a lot of places. I already got thte %5 tint on the window and that's what the question is about. It really doesn't look right and I need those strips. Should I buy a new back window? Will my local dealer fix all the strips?? Any one please help?

Sorry if I posted in the wrong forum. I wanted a lot of Accord owners to see it and I really dont mind if you mods move it. Thanks.

 

would be cheaper if you do your own work to just replace the rear window.

Those are think copper strips and they do make patch kits for them. But honestly it would be cheaper in the long run to just replace the window and if you want it tinted still when you have the replacement you can do it before installing.

Since your tint is probably illegal the tint shop probably will not fix it even though they did mess it up. I suggest getting a new back glass piece and get legal tint in case anything happens. I have 27% tint and its ******* dark, I don't know how people see with 5% .

Yes its dark as hell. The police were sitting next to me at a stop light and they shined that ****** spotlight right into my car. So I leaned back in my chair. They turned it off. Then I opened my glove box to see what's in there bc I was certain when the light turned green they would come behind and pull me over. They hit me w/ the light again. THat light is bright as hell. Made it seem like I didn;t have tint.
