Well I was planing on doing alot of body work before taking any pictures, just because the paint isnt that great.. But I will post a few before and afters once its completely done.. I will be adding a CF hood later this year. (pics are large)



Rolling on 18' Enkei Zokus with a H&R race drop..



Apex-I N1 Exhaust, 80mm (3inch) Stainless custom exhaust. With a 3' Resonator (no cat)



Conquest Intercooler, side tanks have been re-welded with larger inlet tubes. (2.5inch)



Running a custom Homemade turbo setup on a D15 Mini-Me Vtec. Currently running 8 psi and managed by Zdyne Gold Secu.

Within the next month I will be installing my built ZC with my t3/t4 turbo setup, My goal is mid 11's this year.

congrats on all the hard work you have done to your car. everything is very impressive, except for those over-sized rims. they make the car look like crap. sorry, but i think those rims are way too big. downsize a few sizes and then the car will look much better.

 

haha! your car is freekin awesome! who care's if your car has BIG rims. i think it looks pretty damn sweet! and the fact that it has no rust. dayum!

I like the exhaust, but get some other wheels. you ever think about slipstreams or C8's

 

Haha, I knew no one was going to like my wheels... hah. I got just a sweet deal on them I could not pass it up.. 1000 bucks brand new Tires/wheels shipped from FL! they were clearence item (disscontinued) and I have always like Zoku's, I use to have 16's on my 89 si but I always hated the wheel gap,



Blah, those are just to small... I even tried some 17's, I dont care for them either.. Bigger is always better... well maybe not for speed, plus I dont sit freaking 2' from the ground a scrape on everything, I hate that, especially with stainless steel exhaust.

Their is a Racing Exhaust Shop in our town, they do all kinds of stuff, Roll cages, Sprint cars, Motorbikes, whatever... I didnt do the exhaust myself, (hell no I cant do a good job like that.. look at those welds! mine looks like crap) I am sure if you go to any exhaust shop they can order you up stainless (polished T304)

I agree with most people that everything looks pretty good except for those rims. Those are straight wack. Even the stock Si rims would look so much better.

 

Christ... alot of hate for the big rims... I get nothing but compliments when people see my car.. Maybe everyone is just trying to be nice to me I agree when I first put them on I was a bit skeptical, I called them "My Wagon Wheels" I get alot of people stareing at me all the time.

Just trying to be differnt I guess, I see so many hondas and acuras with 17's and crap.. Its just like when I see a new Tahoe with 22's I dont say "man loose those rims, they are too big!" Big rims look good, just better on bigger cars I guess.. 16's and even 17's are just not my taste, you still have wheel gapage with Race springs, I like to have a nice even gap with the tire.

Hey Jeff.......

I'd like to see a "bumper-off" pic of the intercooler. I'm very interested in seeing how it is attached under the stock bumper. I've been trying to figure out how to fit an even bigger core than that under my stock bumper.

Finally someone with mods and no kit.....you just need to spray your stock Si alloys flat black like mine...haha.

Good job with all the hard work you did...but the RIMS ARE WAY TO FRIKKIN BIG! Go 15 or 16!

 

The front core support has been all cut up, as well as the bottom support for the radiator. The sides have been cut out for the charge pipes... My car is a complete hack now but it looks pretty decent, you cant even see all the cutting, and I bought this really nice air-hacksaw to do the work, cut the time right in half..

Ya ya.. no one likes my big wheels.. haha, I suppose you guys will say they look good on my girlfriends car though right?


We got 2 sets of 18' enkei Zokus/Toyo Tires shipped from FL for 2000 bucks.
I have had 3 crx's... I have tried alot of tire/wheel combo's 13's 14's 15's 16's 17's and now 18's.. I agree they do lack in the performance aspect, but when I look at everybody else's crx and see that gay *** wheel gap between their tires and body line it makes me sick, it just looks gay. Now if I was to get 17's I would have to drop it a bit more which i really dont want to do, I hate being slamed to the ground.

I guess you don't mind that your overall diameter of the wheel package is a *tad* off from stock.
