Default Stroke b18c1 to 2.0 vs b18c1 bore to 84 mm???

hey guys im trying to figure out what will be faster and am hoping to have all your inputs on this. A b18c1 with a stroker kit to a 2.0 vs a b18c1 bore out to a 84 mm. I know that with a stroker kit they give you new rods, crank, pistons and with a b18c1 bore to 84 mm it'll still be a 2.0 but you can run your stock crank and pistons. I'm guessing the b18c1 bore to 84mm will be able to have a higher rev then the stroker kit one. Which one would be a better investment and faster?? Please put down your input...

thanks

Well, the 84mm bore is very likely going to be much more reliable.

Here is what i had plan to go for... b18c1 bore out to 84mm and sleeve because i can rev it higher then the b18c1 with the stroker kit on it. I remember reading something about it saying that stroker kits are not as good as a high rev as stock b18c1.

What's the price difference (parts and labor)? I'd be interested to find out because I was also wanting a B18 either stroked or bore to 2.0 in the near future. Do you have any info on the output of a similar setup and the reliability of each variation?

look at it this way. when you increase displacemant via a larger crank, you reduce the rod-stroke ratio. in other words, you are stressing rods in areas not normaly taking stress. thats why stroked motors typicly turn stock redline, or only a little more. when you punch a 18c1 out to 2l, you create whats called an "overbore". this is where the bore is larger than the stroke. domestics have been doing this for years. this will give you good low end grunt, but MONSTER top end. not only that, you'll also be able to turn as many revs as you want. a 2l crv block is also a good choice as its already 2l, but will imo, need some prep work to live a happy life at elevated rpms. hope this helps!
