If I were to connect a JDM spec. b-pipe to a JDM spec. exhaust manifold, how long would the cat be? I'm hoping I can get a carsound cat made to that length, but it may be shorter than a carsound can be. Thanks for any help!

I have the JDM 4-1 Header with a JDM Cat (from a 99 spec car) bolted to a JDM Trust PEII exhaust and it all bolts together perfectly. I measured my cat and it is 305mm (12 Inches) flange to flange which is a little longer than the figure quoted above.. I'm sure this just confuses things

When you say flange to flange, do you mean from the B pipe flange gasket surface to where the donut rests against the JDM collector flange? Or in other words if you stood a JDM cat up on a table on its 3 bolt flange and then place a donut in the flared inlet the total height of the cat/donut would be 12"?

Yes the total effective height would be 12". I have assumed the fixed studs at the 3 bolt end were removed in your illustration

Yes I got it new about 14 months ago.. but haven't made it to the track as anything other than a spectator at this point.
